Rain Makers

I have read five hundred Tweets today that let us know it is raining in Indianapolis.


Some seem to like it, most do not. There are several sayings about the whether, perhaps countless sayings about the whether.


Indians (which Indiana was ripe with at one time) counted on their shaman to make it rain when the crops and people needed it. The ability to make the rain fall from the heavens was one of the strongest virtues a shaman could possess. No one could question the power, and everyone benefited from his ability.


Today we refer to those who bring the sales, and ring the bells, and bring the business and the companies to region that we all benefit from, as Rain Makers.


Indianapolis is ripe today with Rain Makers. From our sports teams, to our civic leaders, to our business leaders who are quietly cranking the wheels of our economy as it returns with better news each day.
